    Instead of having people rationally discuss both, flood the forum with garbage. That way, the competition doesn't get discussed. Forum crapping/thread crapping is an old trick. They pretty much trashed AVS that way. If enough people complain to the moderators, may something will get done.

    I second the motion, this is ridiculous. It was this very thing that caused the AVS forum to have to go off line for a few days while they instituted some new rules. Here, I believe the problem could be resolved by taking one guy off line.
