  I plan on being 1080p-challenged for a couple of years. I want to milk maximum usage out of my FP and none of the CRTs in the other rooms seem close to quitting.

    Happy New Year's to you guys. I've got 1080p, just need a source. Resolution, get that green push out of the Oppo 981. The firmware CD is on the way from those guys who answer e-mails almost the minute they arrive. (Downloaded ISO firmware upgrade file not read by player).

      We met and visited before Joe's concert and have exchanged several e-mail messages, oscar belongs to a couple of area clubs (one of which both my wife and I are members) and both he and townsend have been over to visit several times. It would be great getting together some weekend just to discuss HD technology (townsend and I refer to these as A/V summits), watch a few movies (std. & HD) on our DLP system, speculate about where we'd like to see our systems go next (think: 12 step program to enable A/V addictions! -grin), toss back a few cold brews (or root beers if that's the preference) and have a great time.
      
      Silly idea or food for thought?

          I'm sure that Oscar and Road Warrior would gladly chip in on a flack jacket if you're having doubts about red-zone security, but don't be surprised if it looks suspiciously like an inflatable life preserver. ;O)

        Give me a holler in a few weeks. Might have to do a work around the Cowboys playoff games and senior tennis league that starts this wekeend.
