which would you buy?
Follow Ups:
I first had the Sharp... it wasn't.
Then I bought the Sammy... after one weekend I took it back.
The Sony is the old version, so I didn't buy it to try it.
I waited a few weeks until the new Panasonic BD30 arrived and bought it day one. Been lovin' it ever since.
Also.... Be sure to examine the HDMI 1.3 cables at www.monoprice.com

Or get the sharp cheap, if you aren't going to wait.

Panny DB30 has good reputation, it is a topseller in spite of a high price, and it has dts HD MA on HDMI.
I just bought the new PS3 40GB, but the fan noise and user interface is still a problem. As well as using 280W ! A heater in the summer.
I expect the PS3 to get an firmware update to do dts HD MA. If not I will get the Panasonic DB30 or 50.
I find the SONY players dated.
That way you turn on the PS3 by putting in a disc and never need bother with the menu. It plays the disc automatically.

playing a USA movie and then a Swedish movie in a PS3 bought in UK located in Finland, so giving me operation text in Finish, it is not so simple :-(

Wasnt till Blue Ray won.
I'm not a big fan of PIP/IME/internet connectivity so the advanced profile stuff doesn't mean anything to me.
My system also needs a player with 5.1 analog outputs if I want support for lossless/uncompressed audio (the PS3 can only support this through HDMI and I'm not sure how well it's supported). If you appreciate good audio in your HT system, you'll want to figure in support for lossless/uncompressed audio.
