I do think you are correct that Hsu did so commercially before anybody however; at least to my recollection. Wonder why they went away from that style, I rather liked the look.
Another Hsu tidbit IIRC; they were originally called Definitive and Def-Tech forced them out of that name.![]()

My wife thought my 6' tall x 2' wide Maggie's were "cool" when I bought them. At the time we were in a condo with a 12 x 16' living room. I'd say she's cool.
Now I have a dedicated room, so ANYTHING goes. She just looks in once in a while and says something like "is that black box (everything is referred to as a black box regardless of color, size, etc) new?". :)
