My Dish receiver/recorder is about to max out with 100 hrs of TV and PPV programming. I would like to transfer some of the PPV stuff like some UFC fights onto DVDs. How do I go about that. At this point in time I do not have a DVR but I do have a nice computer. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.
Btw, waiting until the DVD comes out is not an option, the broadcast shows a lot of interviews and footage that never makes it to the DVDs.
Follow Ups:
It looks like the newer Dish network receivers have an USB port. You may be able to do some hacking if the port is active (contact your Dish network. Otherwise, get yourself one of these:

play back the program on TV and record using the burner. Works for me but I have a DirecTV unit.
..is to play the recorded program back to the TV for viewing, and then use the video and audio out from the TV to the DVD recorder via RCA cables. It wil not be Hi Def, however.
Thanks a lot. All I need now is a good DVR recorder.
