Modding the PS3

Does anyone here mod their PS3? How do you do it, and what sound improvements can you get? Thanks.

The only thing I have done is to change out the supplied power cable with a shielded 14 gauge one. I'm sure the supplied cable is perfectly fine, but considering the amount of juice the PS3 sucks, I thought I'd give it a bigger pipe to suck it through.
I asked about this a few months ago, and heard no mod was available - Jazz Inmate 15:34:56 06/18/08 (0)
I've now forgotten who I asked. It was either Ric Schultz or Allen Wright. Probably time to ask again!

The only mod people are doing is to swap out the internal hard drive for a bigger one, which obviously does nothing to improve the audio or video quality.
