Many Amazon.com resellers are offering used blu-rays for sales. The savings is sometimes tempting.
I was wondering if anybody has purchased one or more and would give feedback--pleased or disappointed, etc.
My purchase of used CDs through the same or similar sources is mixed. Yeah, they all usually play (except a Metallica single would barely play only after I cleaned it w/ a glass cleaner!), but sometimes they simple look like hell. I think you know what I mean . . . not only filthy (which can be cleaned), but scuffed up as well.
It's got to the point I would rather buy new CDs. You can't really return a CD that plays perfectly well and claim "hey, it's scuffed up. It ain't purty enuff."
I guess we audiophile/videophile types treat our audio & video software w/ TLC, whereas others view and accordingly handle them differently.

I guess you mean the disks and not the players... I've not pur BDs but have purchased many DVD-Audios and CDs. I only buy from the guys that have sold hundreds or thousands and in every case the product has matched or been better than their description. That usually means not the cheapest offering, but 50 cents to a buck more. Should be the same story with BDs. I've not found them to be any more delicate or tempermental than DVDs.

Bought 10 or so from amazon sellers. I was skeptical at first but full steam ahead now when I see a good price.
No problems. Blu-ray has a protective coating and it's a relatively new format. Any used stock you buy has likely been spun once and not touched again. But the bulk of my collection was bought new.
-------------Call it, friendo.
and have had no problems whatsoever. I've bought perhaps 5-10 used discs and they were in like-new condition (i.e., no scratches or scuff marks). They're all guaranteed to play perfectly, and if I don't like the disc, I can even return it and get 75% in store credit. Unfortunately, there's still not a whole lot of choice when it comes to used BDs in stores compared with DVDs, but it's growing slowly.

I got 'The Road Warrior' from EBay, and the description said it was mint, played once. That's how it was, flawless. So, it can be done, but of course a good return policy is always desirable..:-)
