Hi,
Film-based PAL DVDs. Is there a player that can correct the 4% speed-up?
I was using the search function and found that there was no solution, at least until 2005.
As now we have a lot of players that do things like upconversion, I wonder if any model can also correct the PAL speed-up issue.
I use an Oppo 971h with a Panasonic AE700 projector, so I can watch PAL DVDs, but can I watch them at their proper speed? My Oppo 971h has that weird pitch correction function, but I know this only adresses half the problem.
Thanks for any help!

Follow Ups:
This seems like something a home theater PC should be able to do. I recall getting stuck with some magic utility that could be used to tweak timing after I made the mistake of installing a codec pack.
Try AVSforum... there's bound to have been discussions of PAL versus NTSC playback there.
I have such a setup here - purchased both used at 50% new prices but still very expensive.
The player is a UX-1 LE (now superceded)and a G-0s Masterclock (similarly replaced).

Sadly (or is it happily?) an incurable audio-video nutter with an indecent number of toys. Classical music forever!!!!
