I just bought an Acer Laptop with Blu-Ray player. The Headphone jack can be set to output a digital bitstream. Where can I find a mini jack to coax digital cable? I'm dying to hook this up to my processor (classe ssp25) Is it possible?
I guess it may be time to retire the classe and get something new. In the meantime, it would be fun to try.
Thanks

Hi thereHeadphone jacks are typically stereo, and have 3 connections (left, right and a common ground). A digital audio output needs only 2 connections, i.e. a mono(phonic) jack. You'll probably need more info before you buy anything.
The link is to a stereo 3.5mm adapter. Avoid using cables that are 3.5mm plug on one end and RCA plug(s) on the other end, since the cable is rarely rated for 75 ohm characteristic impedance.
