I am downsizing to a 2 channel + subwoofer HT setup. I am going to pickup a Pioneer Blu-Ray player (BDP-51FD) that handles decoding internally and then connect the analog stereo outputs to my BAT preamp.
I still have room for my ACI sub and I am debating on whether to use the LFE output on the Blu-Ray player, or 2nd set of outputs on my BAT preamp. I am leaning towards the BAT outputs, but wondering if the LFE information will get included in the Blu-Ray players stereo downmix? Or, is the LFE information lost?
Thanks in advance for any input!
Follow Ups:
If you do not use the second set of outputs on the BAT, you will have no way to control volume of the main channels and the sub simultaneously.

That's a great point, Kal. Thanks!
forgot to mention that my music listening will all be done without the subwoofer.
