Can anyone recommend PC software that will translate DVD movies to a format that can be loaded to an iPod? Freeware is preferred although not a must, but above all it needs to be very easy to use ... like as in a twelve-year old girl could do it without help from the family Sys Admin. TIA.

Thanks for the sauggestions, guys. Looked at both of those products but I wound up with the Avex product. It was inexpensive and easy to use. It is slow, but then it's my daughter that will be using it and not me. It seems to do a good job, and at $29, pretty cheap.
Thanks, again.
DVDFab HD Decrypter can convert to a pile of formats. While I haven't tried that aspect of it myself, the program is easy to use, and is regularly updated to handle new protection schemes.

Works great, but I hope you have a pretty powerful CPU, because it takes about 90 minutes for me to rip / transcode a DVD down to iPod or Apple TV format using a 1.8 ghz Core 2 Duo w/4 gigabytes of RAM.
