I didn't want to go OCD and ballistic with my video like I did my audio. So, for my bedroom we bought a Sony - BRAVIA 52" 1080p 120Hz Flat-Panel LCD HDTV Model: KDL-52W4100. I have a Denon AVR-1909 Receiver and currently use Silverline SR-15 speakers with an ACI Titan LE-II subwoofer but no center or rear surrounds YET.
I am considering the Panasonic DMP-BD35. Any thoughts on this player? I may also like to get a decent HDMI cable (if the price warrants it) and/or a decent but not too large or expensive power conditioner if you think they make a noticeable difference? If so, any suggestions?
Thanks,
Frank

The Panasonic BD-35 is reviewing rather well: your Denon receiver should play well with it. Or, you can step up to a PS3.
Check out monoprice.com for an HDMI v1.3 certified cable. They cost around $7 for a 6ft cable and will equal or beat anything else on the market.
The best protection for your system is a Brick Wall surge suppressor.
Blue Jean cable uses US manufactured cable which is then terminated off shore. They come in one foot increments and the prices are low, delivery is quick.
Nice choice in flat panel pic!! CC is right, monoprice is your best bet for HDMI cables. No need to waste money on something more expensive.
The Playstation seems to be the best option out there at the moment, unless you have an HTPC already.
I'll chime in on the smallest item first, the HDMI cable. Go to Monoprice.com and get one from there for a few bucks; do not get ripped off by spending $30-40-more on such a cable. It's a digital transfer device. It either works or it doesn't.
Consider a Sony PS3 game station. It is fast, upgradeable, and looks very good with both regular DVDs and Blu-Rays. I have never touched video games, but I wouldn't part with this for Blu-Ray playback for anything out there.
For surround packages, Klipsch has some decent ones (I use them in a smaller environment.) You get a center and either 2 or 4 surround speakers.
A few ideas, just don't forget what I said about HDMI cables :-)
Best,
CC.
