I'll wait to see if they work out some of the issues the early versions have, such as no internal decoding of Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby Digital TrueHD, and DTS-HD Master. Its also region 1, so we'll see if they allow a hack for it. I expect more for that price range.

Yep, that's always the best strategy with electronics/technology. Let em work out bugs and enjoy the lower price down the road. Patience is a virtue!

  That I already have a BD player that does more now, and an Oppo DVD player for imported discs. It would be nice to combine them into one small box, but if it doesn't do what I've already got now, and better, its useless to me.

    Me too and there are cheaper solutions for folks now besides.
