The last thing I think they need is a bunch of channels with different information from each channel. Two (high sensitive; good idea) speakers would likely be best.
For that matter, I'd consider running the system in mono in case either ear is more sensitive (and to make up for seating issues).![]()

Thanks for the info. Never thought about adding a couple of high sensitivity speakers. So running the system in mono changes the frequencies , allowing them to hear better? Interesting. How about a short list of hight sensitivity speakers which might work. Nothing too expensive though.
Mono doesn't change the frequencies per se... it groups all sounds equally into both speakers, including the frequency extremes, yes.
So to exagerate matters; there may be bass only from the left speaker and highs only from the right (in stereo) which could potentially make things harder to hear clearly. If both speakers played the same frequencies/sounds I feel it would make things easier to understand.
Try the high sens forumn for some speaker ideas, as I lean towards exactly the opposite type (planars, etc). Perhaps Klipsch, Cerwin Vega, etc.?

Thanks again for the tip. I 'll make a trip to the Hi-eff. speakers forum. Regards, Bob.
