  These guys are operating on a shoe-string budget and continually provide some of the best comparisons on the net. Plus, they review a wide range of DVDs, not only the mainstream stuff.

      If the comparison demonstrates a night/day difference, then it's more obvious that the Blu-ray would be a worthwhile upgrade over existing DVD; if not, then the consumer has enough information to make an informed decision. Blu-ray screen shots, by themselves, do not always tell the whole story; furthermore, you aren't going to get an evaluation of European versions of releases in both formats at the Blu-ray site.
