  to do a google on something like "vizio repairs" if you are unfamiliar with the brand. Vizio has a reputation, earned over the years. They cost what they do for a reason. In displays, unlike with much audio gear, what you get can be very directly related to the price with little "subjectivity", and usually very quickly too. Beyond the company's policies, there are only a few companies that make the panels. So you are getting what the others are getting in that regard, perhaps a different "bin level", and the rest depends on the implementation. I would take a chance for the price. But I have to say that 50" Pio plasma displays (5020) can be had for ~$1800 and I'd have to guess that would be more visually satisfying for most, if a plasma display fits your viewing circumstances.

    I've seen the Pioneers . They do have a great picture.But I've also took a hard look at the newer LEDs.

    I won't pass judgement on the Vizio until I've seen it in action. If it has anything near the picture of the Samsungs LEDs..it will be a winner with most. The Pioneer's look almost dull incomparison to the new Samsung LEDs.

  Not trying to put the brand down. It's amazing how a seemingly new brand can become such a presence in such a short time.

  Costco will be selling them for 1.5K? :) That would be sweet!

    Now that would be killer!!!$1500 for picture quality and size like that is unheard of! Yeah I agree the Vizio's, especially the plasma models have looked pretty darn good!
    
    I suspect Costco will sell out of them in the first few days they are available!
