hello
I am considering buying this tv. Does this tv come well calibrated out of the box or
should I pay for the calibration service. If anyone one other uses this tv -any comments or suggestions. While I would love to get a pioneer kuro or a top of the line sony xbr, This seems to
be a pretty good choice. any other tvs I should look at? I prefer the plasmas in general
Thank you in advance for any comments or suggestions

I prefer plasmas also. I think the difference between the Pionners and the Panasonics is so small now, the difference in price makes it an easy choice. Once calibrated, the differences are tiny, if that. The set will certainly not be calibrated out of the box. You may be able to google the proper settings for your Panasonic, or just get a calibration disk. It will be much cheaper than hiring someone to do it for you. I was able to google the settings for my Panasonic. Better sites that review the sets set them up with a calibration disk before reviewing them, and should make the settings available in the review.
Owners, reviews, opinions, information, etc.
Yep, Joe's found The Forum! They post owners tuning results of many sets. It's a cheat sheet forum. I use it all the time when I build HTPC and HT audio setups,Alan
