My Son is heading off to college - in Pasadena, to a school that has no cable or satellite in the dorms. I was planning on getting him a good quality 32 inch from Sony or Samsung, but most models I am seeing have no over the air tuner. Any words of advice for sets with decent digital tuners? And any thoughts on an in-room antenna, which I assume he will need.
Thanks for your thoughts.

Might want to consider Toshiba too. Even the ATSC tuner in their cheapest TV is pretty good, so presume their more expensive TVs have one at least as good. I bought it as a music system monitor, but have the OTA also hooked up to it since it worked so well (gives better info and easier than my main plasma TV).
The antenna will be key. I don't know what the rules may be for sticking antennas out the window, considering they don't have cable etc. = sound strict. Might want to consider one of the smaller outdoor ones, but use it inside.
???? Even the lowest end sets have tuners built in - http://www.samsung.com/us/consumer/tv-video/televisions/lcd-tv/LN32C350D1DXZA/index.idx?pagetype=prd_detail&tab=spec
I suspect that the choice of antenna will be key. There is antennaweb.org and tvfool.com to help with those decisions
Awesome, thanks for the links to tvfool and antennaweb.
