Also it can be accessed from other non DVR boxes in the house. Much more storage than the DISH (formerly an industry leader in DVR storage). It's very intuitive and easy to use. The DVR is the one thing I'll miss.

No hint of signal degredation on DVR payback.

DVR (70hours) with no hint signal degredation noticed on playback. Plus we still have the Dolby Digital sound intact.

How big are the U-Verse hard drives ???With DIRECTV, you can add an external ESATA drive to each supporting STB. I believe the external ESATA can be up to 2TB. They also have the Multi-Room-DVR functionality so you can access the content from your other STB hard drives.

as opposed to about 80(????) hrs. with the standard U-Verse DVR in HD.
To be honest, too much DVR storage is a negative for me, as I'll screw around and record everthing and not watch it.
