(I hate to ask this after the last question I posted but here goes.) What can I do to connect the AC-3 RF output from my Pioneer CLD-D406 Laserdisc player to my new Denon AVR-3312CI receiver I'm getting? thanks

You need a separate box called an "RF Demodulator". They're $100 and up on eBay; the Yamaha APD-1, for example.
Some outboard Dolby Digital decoders had built-in RF demodulators; you might get one of those cheaper than the demodulator alone. And those may be more common, since they would have been bought to use with DVD players or satellite TV (not just laserdiscs).
This guide might help you.
If you understand, things are just as they are; if you do not understand, things are just as they are.

The AC-3 output from a laserdisc player is an RF modulated signal that needs a surround receiver/processor with an RF input to work. It's not the same type of signal as S/PDIF signal over optical or coax.
If your surround receiver/processor doesn't have an RF input, perhaps you can use the laserdisc player's coax/optical output (if it has a digital connection) to get a stereo digital signal to the receiver. The surround receiver/processor can then "create" a surround output if that's what you want. Otherwise, you'll have to use the analog output from the laserdisc player.
There may possibly be an RF adapter you could use as a go-between if your surround receiver/processor doesn't have an RF input.
