Mitsubishi is still making Dlp's , last year I replaced my 64" Pioneer Elite pro700hd with a 73" Dlp and love it, It has better veiwing angles than lcd and is plenty bright with nice depth to the image. The set is only 17 inchs deep, which when you think about it your average component rack or tv stand is you guessed it 17-19" deep. These can be had in sizes from 73,82 up to 92"(its a beautiful beast)with hard to beat prices. New models are slated for 2013, If you love film and movies get a Dlp.

  Every year around this time they announce the new models, my 2010 73738 is only a year old with the last run of the year production date of May 2011, got it at a great price due to the 2011 models being released.

I will have ZERO chance to ever see one of these in a store. No one is stocking DLP's anymore.

  Head on over to AVS forums and go to the rear projection forums for current model numbers are ( I have the 73738) 2010 numbers are 63,73,82, ending in 638-838/ 2011 640-840 ranging from 73, 82, 92 inches , numbers for 2013 742-842 , 73-92 inches. you may find somewhere close to your area to see one and then order on line from Amazon or others or buy from a store if you find one. this of course is if you decide to get one.
