Saw a couple of reviews of Marantz complaining of freezes and tranport/Fan noise.

My Oppo BDP-95 has worked flawlessly for music and HT. I connect the XLR stereo and RCA 7.1 to the analog inputs of my Cary Cinema 11a processor which is set to bypass mode. SACD output is set to DSD in the Oppo menu. The sound of top SACDs like Jazz at the Pawnshop is equivalent to $50 vinyl, i.e. excellent well imaged soundstage, with detail and sense of transparency.

SACD, Thumb Drive for 2Ch Audio comes first. Will view BluRay too, of course, all 2 Ch.
Hope one just Sells itself to me, so to speak, considering they ( UD 7007, BDP 105 )
are the same price. Oppo has Optical Input, which I could use for transferring DAT Tapes, but could live without it.
Anyway, should be fun, or possible confusing...
Actually, I'm asking because I'm intersted in the New Oppo 105 and the Marantz UD7007, both the same price. Wondering if any annoying problems/glitches in the Previous Gen of these Brands. Lots of info on Oppo available, much less for Marantz.
The 2ch sound is The most Important. Movies will be fine I'm sure, unless there are tracking/freezing glitches. I'll play Files, both have 24/192. I can see them in local stores, but no side by side available. Back to the Waiting Game...
