Looking at a new kitchen range. Induction seems interesting, but I'm wondering if there may be an issue of RFI interference with an audio (or video) system?
Any first hand knowledge of this?
Thanks

Hi there
I've had a GE induction cooktop since 1995.
Have not noticed any RFI or EMI from the cooktop.
Neither FM or OTA TV has been affected.
The cooling fan (with its audible noise) is the big irritant.
Regards
I don't know about the interference, but I will give you one but of advice. As a technician that used to work on those, stay away!
They are troublesome, work only with magnetic pans, (No aluminum) and usually break down shortly after the warranty.
IF you decide to get one anyhow, I highly recommend an additional warranty.
BTW, when it is being serviced, expect parts to be special order, and take a while.
Just a warning.
BUT, they sure do boil water fast!
Forward In All Directions!
My ex-inlaws had an induction cooktop. 3 of 4 burners failed at some point. After many hours of troubleshooting, I managed to get 2 of the 3 dead burners operable again. Probably easier with a service manual & better tools than a multimeter, screwdrivers, and solder; but likely still not much fun to work on.
