Looking to upgrade Oppo 83 to 105...

What improvement can I expect going from the 83 to the 105?
Standard DVD(upconverted) and Blu-Ray are played regularly.
I'd like to go direct from the analog 5.1/7.1 outputs to the separate amps in the surround system.
I won't be using it as a CD player although it probably will get used as a disc transport to my outboard USB Dac.

I'd use the analog output from the Oppo 105 and sell your DAC. Of course we use our 105 for playing Blu-rays with sensational video and lossless audio, but it's pretty much supplanted our Sony 5400ES for SACDs and CDs as well.
