My TV only has two HDMI ports, one of which is hooked up to my DVD player, the other to my cable box. I would like to get a Google Chromecast, which would require another HDMI port. I have a set of three-color cables that I can use for my DVD player (and have in the past), but I’d rather have everything running on HDMI. Do I have another option?
Follow Ups:
A Vizio TV, which has only two HDMI inputs, in our office system utilizes an auto-switching HDMI unit from the quality-conscious folks at Bluejeans Cable. It works beautifully. You can buy it direct or from Amazon. We purchased it from the latter for $28.95. See the attached link.
I thank you and my daughter thanks you.
do a search on Amazon for "HDMI switch" and you will see many different types. They even have them with a remote control!
Just click on
and if your TV also has them, you are set, just go down to the local Thrift store and pick up a set of these triple cables.
I think most newer TVs have three HDMI connections just for this reason.
