This tv is staggeringly good and I haven't even fussed with the settings yet.
Will burn it in for a hundred hours and fine tune it later, but for now it's amazing.
Easy as pie from Costco, they deliver it right to your door.

Follow Ups:
I'm not seeing any Panasonic plasma TV model at Costco.
I don't see Panasonics at Costco.com either but B&H has them with free shipping on 55", 60" and 65" and no sales tax on orders outside of New York.
Costco sometime in the past had the 50" 'entry' level panel for maybe 700 or 800$…….a reasonable deal.
I saw an LG Plasma once last year…..
I'm not current on what is available in-store.
Did I hear a true rumor about Panasonic dropping out of the Plasma market?
Too much is never enough
My local one has at least one in stock. I think its only 55" though.
They deliver it to your door, no charge.

Love them Panasonic plasmas. 'Staggeringly good' sums it up pretty well. Really wish Panasonic wasn't closing plasma production down.
Any idea why plasma's are being dropped?
Thanks!
Profit, of course. That's what drives any corporate decision. Panasonic lost 900 million last year on the TV business. Only the picky viewers buy plasmas, the mass market buys LCD types (largely driven by clueless sales people at Best Buy, etc.). This is the same thing that killed Pioneers plasmas.
Is it true that Panasonic picked up some of Pioneer's technology for their better plasmas that are still available?
Yes. Panasonic bought the technology from Pioneer when they quit the business. Pioneer had been using Panasonic displays anyway in the Kuro line.
