Computer Monitor Video -- how to get rid of the red tint

I am a little bothered by how red most of the videos I can watch on a computer monitor are. Is there some modes that tune the appearance to be more TV like? Wouldn't sRGB, for instance, be the most accurate??

Just a newbie here, but I would try a friends monitor to see where the problem is. Why do you not watch a TV?
- Tried it out on a better monitor and, yes, using sRGB - jedrider 16:07:35 09/02/14 (0)
  The red tint, while still there, is not as bothersome anymore. I hadn't tried VHS on a modern TV yet!! But, yes, there is more detail than I thought possible in the format. My last CRT set is headed out the door now.
