Synergy, 3D Matrix, Miramax or any of a dozen other brands.Google "White van projector scam"
First clue, lamp life, 50,000 hours. Really?
Second clue, "supports" 1080p. They make it seem like it's hi def. Nope, what's projected onto the screen is a standard def, 640x480 pixel image.
Third, an INSANELY hi price will be printed on the box, anywhere from $3,995-$6,000 (for a standard def projector no less)
Kerry, sorry but personally, I wouldn't spend $7 on a universal remote. It'll project (if it works at all) a hideous, washed out, picture.
These type projectors are ALL OVER Craigslist here in Dallas.

Thanks for the info Road Warrior. I knew it was a turd with a light bulb inside when I bought it (for $5.00). I got it so that my twin daughters could watch cartoons on a very big screen (a basement wall). The video I could see through the composite input was absolutely crap. I recognize that. However, I have a suspicion that two 6 year olds won't know the difference. It's just that I can't even ATTEMPT to make it look better without a remote.

a better picture out of it. I kinda feel for the guy who bought it initially. If you don't mind, what was the brand? I just listed the ones I see in perusing Dallas' Craigslist ads

I didn't notice the first time I read your last post that you asked for the brand. That's the thing... nothing in the manual, on the box, or on the projector itself has a brand. (I know that sounds highly unlikely but it's true). I finally found a link to purchase the same unit from some outfit in China on Alibaba. The good thing is that the guy I bought it from found the remote!
So, I have this thing up and running. And, I have to say, I need to give some kudos to the pre-teen Chinese girl that undoubtedly made this. I have it hooked up to a 5.1 system projected onto just a plain white sheet against a basement wall. Is it high end, top-notch? Of course not. It is, however, astonishingly better than what I expected. I'm watching the latest Transformers blu-ray on it right now and I'm totally impressed (keeping in mind what I expected).

Not harsh at all. I recognized that it was a piece of crap when I was buying it. I had not heard the "turd with a light bulb" description prior to this message so that was worth the fun. The good new is that the previous owner was able to find the remote and the turd with a light bulb in it is now playing Disney movies to the great enjoyment of two six year olds. They are pretty savvy though. Within a year I expect them to ask whether I am using an HDMI cord, component or composite. They have been fake texting on phones since they were born. Thanks Road Warrior!
