I was browsing eBay when I came across a Pioneer Elite DVR-57H which combines a TiVo with a DVD player. It looks to have been manufactured circa 2004 or thereabouts. Does anyone know if there exists a newer format Blu-Ray/TiVo or DVR combo? I have a Yamaha MCX-2000 which combines a CD player with a hard drive and home network broadcasting for audio only and I love it! I would love to get my hands on something similar in the video realm with Blu-Ray and DVR. Any knowledgeable folks out there who can point me in the right direction?

Fusion makes a high definition media player with 2TB hard drive. I don't think it plays the disc but rips it to the hard drive and you watch it that way. One unit is the Premier. But these things are really expensive. MSRP for the Premier is just under $3k.
You might also look at something like Qnap HS-251 NAS storage to see if you can make that work for you. I know very little about NAS storage. I was looking for something similar as you and have put it on the back burner between the expense and trying to find how all this stuff is supposed to work and interface.
Thanks for the response Mr. Peabody. Sorry it took me so long to get to it. This is on the backburner right now for me too.
