I found/ was given an older LG LCD TV, works fine all inputs etc.but i get no signal from the cable input just a snowy picture.
I have it hooked up to a dta box. that also has HDMI nothing else and id have to buy an HDMI to DVI box with audio for that. Or an HDMI to composite.
my mom and her "boyfreind" is driving me nuts asking the same questions over and over again. about the tv. i keep telling them that i all i need is this device but all i get is ALWAYS SOMETHING TO BUY! yelled at me.

Cable...the threaded "F" connector?. That's mainly used for RF signals,
not video. If you want HD from a Dish/cable box (720P and up) you need to use the HDMI input. You can get great HD using local broadcast signals
via an antenna using the RF connector. Especially if using a good outside
antenna on the roof.
the cable box has a teaded f cable i get nothing from connecting it to the tuner, i did get sound but nomvideo, lucky i ordered the HDMI to dvi/vga thingy and the cables which are soon ariving in the mail
