I can't figure out any settings that I am missing and I am not a novice with electronics. I am afraid that the A board may have to be replaced. Unfortunately Panasonic parts is not going to sell the board directly to consumers. You have to hire a repair tech. Go figure!
I tried the AVS forum with no luck. I am wondering if there is a way to test the HDMI port like electrical outlets. That would give me more confidence.
Yes, I do agree that the VT30 is something I want to hold on to. Before I call a tech, I want to make sure that a repair is needed and not some setting I missed.

First I wonder if some board connector just got jarred loose during when you (I assume!) moved the display for the reno. Or perhaps some work near the display, vibration, caused the same thing. It doesn't take much for some connectors, and for HDMI there is no leeway for anything the slightest bit wrong, it won't "partly work".
There has got to be some internal diagnostic, all plasma displays I've seen have them. You'll probably have to access the "service menu" to check that. Typically there are flashing (power) LEDs or such for larger problems, like PS or gross internal communication issues. I don't know the specifics for the VT30, for sure this info would be on AVS.
Are you the type who gets annoyed when any feature of your gear isn't working, even if it's something you don't use or don't absolutely need? I am... I ask because you do have ports 3 & 4 working. If you connect all your HDMI devices directly to the display (I get that impression), you could circumvent the problem with a 4-port HDMI switcher. One with HDCP (to be safe) is like $30-50 from monoprice, and the labor, never mind the new board cost, is going to be multiple times that. Accessing the boards in a typical plasma is pretty time-consuming. I would probably go the switcher route, and keep my eye out for a nearby (used/working) 55VT30 for sale to steal parts from. Or even just the needed parts alone, people often have a display where the screen part is broken/cracked.

Sure, I do not HAVE to get it repaired at this moment and can use a HDMI switcher. But I have feeling the other ports will fail sometime soon because the other day when I plugged it in HDMI 3 and 4 and was switching back and forth. HDMI 3 blanked out (snowy) for a miilisec and then the picture came back. I guess I could use the switcher until all the ports are toast and then repair. But the anal in me wants to get it to pristine state. :0
But, you're right, the cost of repair is so much more than a switcher. I am thinking it might be as much as $500 (parts & labor). I think I will try the switcher first.

...you check to see if any TV repair shops still exist in your area. If it is not a major undertaking, you might find that they can fix it for a price much lower than you expect. Possibly (if you're really lucky) they have had experience with Panasonic plasmas and already know what to repair.
I kind of know what needs to be replaced. It is a A-board for the TV. Either repair or replace. No tech will repair it. The price of the board that I got quoted was $365 + $200 labor. Simply ridiculous for opening the back, unhooking the connector and plugging back a replacement board. I am waiting for another estimate, but I am sure it will be similar. I am going with the HDMI splitter until the all the ports die. :-(

About six years ago a TV shop near me repaired a board on a Sony TV and charged about $50 for parts and $90 for pickup, delivery, and labor. I was hoping you might have a similar situation.
I have two Panasonic plasmas (50" and 65"). I hope not to have the same problem any time soon.
Another place I called said they cannot find parts for Panasonic plasma since the manufacturer has quit the plasma business....
So I think if the plasma owners need service, we are in trouble.

There is a place that many people on AVS seem to send their Panny boards to for repair. Not that expensive, but you will be down for ~2 weeks.
I wasn't kidding about plasmas with cracked screens as a source for parts. It seems like every day somebody on AVS posts about one of their kids (so they say!) throwing something or other at the screen and cracking it, very thin glass on the newer plasmas, especially the more expensive ones. Even people moving the larger plasmas in a vehicle regularly crack them.
It might be worthwhile to ask at AVS what Panny models use the same "A board" as yours, more choice. Maybe even contact the people who post, if their model is suitable, just to let them know you might be interested if they'd remove the board(s)...plasma-vulture.
I am sure Panny has plenty of parts for models as "new" as yours. I know for certain they even have brand new displays put away for warranty replacement (even Pio still does and they haven't made a plasma for 6+ years), you read every so often about somebody who gets one. Lots of brands won't sell replacement parts or give service info to consumers, part of their agreement with their authorised service techs.
