Does anyone make dvr's anymore? I would like to purchase one without having to rent it. The only ones I have seen are Tivo and Magnavox and the Magnavox ones did not get very good reviews. Sony, Pioneer, Samsung,etc. Do any of these manufactures make dvrs? Thanks in advance.

There is the Tivo Roamio OTA box for $400 and no monthly fee.

I must say that I have not seen a "TiVo" commercial in some time now.
