If TV has optical out, try that. If not, Maybe you can get a
hdmi in/out box that can extract the audio off the signal, then
passing the video out to the TV.

I started searching on E-Bay Australia for an HDMI to Video/Audio Cable and found one for about $5 ..... This should work as I can plug the video connection cable into the TV and the Audio into my Powered Speaker.

Cut-Throat
I use an audio de-imbedder to peel off the audio from Roku HDMI output. I have a plasma monitor that has no tuner/speakers. HDMI in to the deimbedder from Roku and then separate HDMI video out and audio out via stereo mini jack out from deimbedder. Then stereo mini to RCA cable over to the amp. Works well.
I think you'll be stuck with 720P max using RCA inputs. I may be
wrong...someone else may know more.
Which is totally fine for this temporary situation.Cut-Throat
