anyone using the new Marantz 8805 for Hi Rez music?

Seems odd: once upon a time a new flagship pre-pro was a big deal. I can't find a single professional review several months after the introduction.

Not whole lot of info out there, most of it seems to be websites rehashing Marantz's own information. Here are a couple that might help.

  Someone told me Kal will have a review in the November edition of Stereophile.
  - Kal at SP does review the 8805 - Ross 19:39:35 10/30/18 (0)
    He likes it and likes the internal DAC, however he achieved better sound quality using an expensive outboard DAC. He preferred the Marantz to DACs in the same price range as the 8805. 24/192 and DSD processing are limited to 2ch stereo. He likes the Audyssey app update. Overall he considers the 8805 to the be the "standard" for pre-pro units.
