My dog ate the remote. My Blu-ray was a 3 yr old Sony. Are there reasons to get a new one vs just a new remote? I do have an extensive DVD collection, and still use it regularly.
Follow Ups:
Blu-ray tech has not changed in the last 3yrs, so no reason I can think of to throw the baby out with the bathwater. Just buy a new remote.
How about 4K Blu-ray players? any big diff?
Only if you want to buy 4K discs.
Jack
Perhaps if you have a 4k HDR TV but even then it really won't make too much of a difference on regular Blu-Rays.
4K players won't improve the picture you get from Blu-Rays or DVDs compared to an ordinary inexpensive Blu-Ray player.
