Has anyone measured how much power the new large flatscreens draw ? When I have looked at the big box stores, the "estimated annual power usage" figures mean nothing. I haven't found an actual power draw rating.
I have the last generation 60" Pioneer Kuro plasma monitor that will have to be replaced sooner or later and am curious what the power consumption changes are.
Thanks much.

depending on how bright it is at any given moment.
Don't know Watts.

My Pioneer Kuro 50" had a power draw of 300 watts. I replaced it years ago with an LG 4K B6 OLED which has a power draw of 92 watts. My electric bill reflected that difference.
Thanks Gary. I have had good luck replacing my garage 8' florescents with daylight LED tubes and my outdoor halogen floods with daylight LEDs that are about 1/10th the power consumption. My back yard now looks like a municipal golf course at night with the daylight LEDs =). Now that more people are home during the day, the plasma maybe one of the largest remaining power draws.
Never looked into it, as I wanted a 75" and bought a 75"
But as far as I am aware, a smaller plasma will use lots more power than a larger non-plasma. The plasma being very inefficient.
