Cleaned up an old system to view vhs tapes.
System includes-
Sony Trinitron 20" crt tv
NAD C350 integrated amp (driving Acoustic Energy Aegis Ones)
Sony vhs palyer
AMC cdp
Yamaha tuner
Location near typical wall outlet with two outlets. Surge protector will go in one. I'm thinking either the TV or the amp needs to go in the other wall outlet instead of in the surge protector power strip. Which piece should go in the wall outlet, or should they all be plugged into the power strip? Thanks.

Which brand/model Surge Protector?
Nothing fancy. It's an Amazon Basics model
Try- Amp and Surge Protector into the Wall. Living in lower Alabama (LA), you will want decent protection against the Summer storms. Nice to see an AMC cdp.
As of now, I have the tv and surge protector in the wall outlet. I'll try amp to wall and tv to surge protector. We had several downed limbs and some hail a couple weeks ago. Fortunately, no damage to structures or vehicles.
Are you located in Baldwin or Mobile County?
neither. Escambia - deep in rural America
Right... test, look and listen and repeat.
Does the power strip/surge protector have any kind of filtering going on?
Digital into filters and analog into the wall is a good place to sart but you still have to experiment to get the best outcome. Every house and component is different.
I'd plug the TV into the wall and the balance into the power strip
But you may need to try out different schemas-
If the interconnects are continuous end to end- then the only 3-prong plug S/B the amp-
However IIRC - that NAD had only a 2-prong plug - so you S/B ok-
Happy Listening
Yes, the NAD has a two-pronged plug.
