1) Love Helena Bonham Carter's owning of the role of Bellatrix. Better than the book! She has an almost Manson Family-like air about her.
2) Snape's vital role in the saga got short shrift in the film. Changed the whole tenor of his character, made me feel let down.
3) Loved Raif Finnes' switch from invincible to vulnerable and how he portrayed "You Know Who's" false brovado toward the end.
4) Emma watson was very good at protraying Hermione's relentlessly striving for competence at everything she does. I think you got afeel for how hard Hermione tried to do the right thing at all times.
5) Neville's change was nice. My wife was struck by his sense of relief and inage of what self-discovery looks like.
6) The scene where Harry puts his face into the, was it, Bowl of Augury, was weak and could have used 5 more minutes to tell a better story.
7) They did a good job with Draco's cognitive dissonance.
8) I love the Weasley's, but when Mrs. Weasley finally goes off on a certyain character who was trying to attack her daughter, my prevailing feeling was, "Hey, lady, where was that intensity 30 seconds ago when you were also figthing for life and limb?" It was an odd time to see her turn up the volume rather than unleash hithertofore concealed power.
9) I would have liked more of Hagrid recruiting other species to the fight to counterbalance the bad guy's giants and spiders. Hagrid was a critical element in the book plotting.
10) I love Maggie Smith.
All in all, alot of fun, and I am merely quibbling.
