Re: Was just given big screen, need advice.

1) You may be surprised at the cost. This screen (which has a specific dot pitch), will determine the picture quality of your set. Contact a Sony parts distributer.

2) Without dropping $500+ on an ISFA professional calibration, I would recommend you pick up either the Video Essentials or Avia Guide to Home Theater DVDs. Either will help you properly adjust your RPTV for better performance. Not as good as a pro calibration, but worth every penny for the improvements. These DVDs are available everywhere, including Amazon and JandR.com.
