Re: Sears Sony Blu-ray demo

Jack,

I'm not completely with you on your position of PQ and yes, I'm very tired of new technology format wars, "bureaucratic BS". I have in my posession a fantastic Marantz Laserdisc player and Sony SACD player. Good thing that my DVD/SACD player functions mainly as my DVD (and CD player for the matter) player. I thought it was crazy when I realized my 9000es didn't play CDR's and I thinks it's ludacris that the BDPS1 doesn't play CD's! I just spoke to my sales friend and told him when they're marked down the Sony's to $399 I'll buy one and it should be fairly soon (like March) since the 2nd gen stuff will be trickling in. He also told me that the first customer that bought one of the BDP1's returned it because it wouldn't play CD's. I'll most likely wait for the upgraded HD music units. Jack, which Samsung model are you refering to being disco'd already?
