Regular DVD recorders will not record in High Definition. You need an HD DVR to record High Definition material in HD (the HD can, however, be downconverted to SD to allow for recording on a regular DVD recorder, but then it isn't HD anymore).

If you use one of the new "computer antennas", you can record HD content to the computer. Using a video program, the HD content can be burned to a regular DVD (using the MPEG2, AVC or VC-1 codecs) and played back via the computer, a PS3 or other "player" capable of reading HD content on a regular DVD.
