They said they would have enough Elite stock...

to meet expected demand through the remainder of 2009. Pio has said this a few times in press releases, and people have reported distributors saying it too. But of course I don't know the facts, nobody will know for sure until they run out LOL.

I just mentioned "fall" because by then all the best '10 model Pannies should be out and established. These are still designs from before so many of the Pio engineers went to Panasonic. I would expect the best of the '11 model Pannies to be pretty comparable to an Elite, IMO their best of '09 (850 series) are already reasonably comparable to the Pio x020 series in PQ.

Edit: I hope you don't think I'm trying to discourage you from getting a 151 NOW! I mean, I did after all... I am not hugely price-sensitive. I figure out how long I'll probably keep something, and amortise the savings over those years and it's usually not huge. For instance, I could have saved $400 on the 151 by going to a dealer I knew nothing about, but I figured I'd keep it for at least 5 years and $80/year was the price I paid for going to a dealer I had a "relationship" with and who provides good service to me. Some would call me a sucker for paying more, but you sometimes pay more for "comfort"...plus I want this dealer to stay in business LOL because they have lots of other brands I like.
