  You might try an Acoustat TNT-200. They go used for about $400-500. Amazing slew rate, and high damping factor. Sold for around $1100 new, if memory serves.

  I used one to drive a pair of subs I made a few years back that used Dynaudio 30W54 drivers and the sound was outstanding.

  ... the Kenwood L-07M is perfect for the job. It came out about 20+ years ago as a pair of monos linked to a special preamp. The preamp was of variable quality but the 100 watt amp is built like a tank and handles bass superbly.

  I bought a used system many years ago and did not hold it in high repute because of the preamp but now realise how good the amp is. I sold the preamp & one amp a couple of years ago (now regret parting with the amp) but now have the remaining amp in the system as a centre channel sub.
