A rather entertaining documentary (mockumentary) from Michael Moore which apparently has done well with moderate Republican viewers. Although I understand - it's less angry and more optimistic than all of his previous films.
For those who have seen the film and enjoyed it this interview I found interesting especially his commentary on Donald which surprised me some given Moore is usually seen as ultra left. But his comments on Trump were surprising.

Thanks for the review. He's polarizing. Definitely. But I would not insult him by comparing him to the Drugster. (I'll get to the theater sign in a minute.)On a personal note, I met him in Denver at the Tattered Cover and I wanted to get his new book signed as a gift to a brother.
Once I got up to the table, I absolutely froze (I never imagined I would be star struck by someone who really isn't what one would call a star)
I just stood there like an idiot. Moore quickly realized and started the conversation, "So how's it going?" and then I could talk.
We had a nice little chat about my big brother, a graphic artist, who designed the new sign for the Aurora theater--sight of the mass shooting (above).
And of course "Bowling For Columbine" covers the Columbine mass shooting, which I watched live at my desk in DTC on the news the day it happened, just about 10 miles away from my office.
Also, he had a very light grasp, but sincere hand shake (you know sincerity when you feel it). And he really looks at you in the eyes when he shakes your hand. He also was pretty softly spoken.
Unusual I thought, considering I was just one of a couple hundred in line. I found him to be mild mannered, cordial, likable, humorous, and not rushed at all. (yes-intended)

MM is a disgrace.
...actually he's usually a political provacateur, sort of like Limbaugh used to be.
His latest film is not so political - even you might enjoy it.
I think it's tough for someone who considers Moore a disgrace to want to subject themselves to a Moore film. For instance if I put myself in their shoes and say a Rush Limbaugh or Sean Hannity, Bill O'Reilly, or Ann Coulter put out a film and someone on a forum says - hey their movie isn't too much like their usual "themness" - I am still not sure I would want to put any money or my time into watching said production basically helping to fund them as people. And in a sense that's what a lot of Liberals ask non liberals to do - hey this time Moore is not so Liberal - so please pay to watch him.
I found him to be more matter of fact this time around and his commentary on Mr. Trump was more in the alleviating liberal fears that he has donated to various liberal causes all along and basically he says it's just an act. Indeed, if what MM said in the youtube is true and it is an act then indeed his real personae could actually be left of HC.
As someone who has traveled the world a fair bit not many of the things surprise me too much in the movie - I think these kinds of movies tend to preach to the choir. This is probably the film that wouldn't alienate too many conservatives and might make them shift a position or three. The problem is it's made by the guy who has already alienated them.
In other words if it was made by someone nobody ever heard of then more conservatives would probably watch the movie and indeed watch it with a less biased eye. Here they will watch it waiting to pounce on any sliver of an iffy truth because it's Moore but if it was say made by a nobody it would be viewed likely as more down the middle.
It's why a lot of people like the TV Show the "West Wing" even though it was a liberal president they wrote very strong conservative characters that often won the argument and were not all written as buffoons - And when the odd one was a buffoon they were sure to have liberal buffoons as well. Buffoonery isn't linked to one side.
I'm pretty Liberal and I'd marry Ainsly Hayes in a heartbeat - c'mon if every Republican was as smart and sweet as her!! Okay and hot - I'd be all over it. In the linked scene which I love - now you can read the people below arguing over the 14th amendment and why Ainsley's character may be in the wrong but the point was that they wrote the other side well and why it supposedly generally did well with conservatives even though on balance it was a liberal show. I wish more shows had some sort of brain writing behind it. S.2 of the West Wing was my favorite probably because of Ainsley.

He's a polarizing figure - one of the keys to his success really. But in today's world people are quite polarized - a tow truck driver refuses to help a stranded lady because she had a sticker of a politician the guy didn't like. This is the world now. You pick a team and you utterly hate loathe and despise anyone who doesn't where the same color. It didn't used to be that way.I confess it's even difficult for me - because I associate one colour with Neo Nazis who all vote one color. And if I'm on a team and I look at the company I am keeping - then an intelligent person should look around and say - gee is the party of Hitler lovers the party I want to be linked to? And if they all love the party - then perhaps there is something wrong with said party.
Indeed, Moore's time in Germany may have been the most poignant part of the film about race relations in the U.S. today.

...very low key, entertaining, enlightening and Moore takes a back seat.No political agenda or ax to grind.
Highly recommended even if you don't like Moore.

No surprises there. And that's just from an objective point of view. Not trying to open a barrel of monkeys...
