Very True "some factors objectively/measurably affect we hear, many don't:"

One also has to be wary of a components listed specifications.

I think that was one of first lessons I learned over 50 years ago when certain measurable specs like THD and wattage were the "be all" pitch. Then, along with some of the points you mention, there's current, damping, slew rate, switching, linear, filters, and on and on and on.

You have to essentially weigh all the pros cons and tradeoffs. Which unfortunately it appears someone like myself can only do subjectively by listening.

I wonder if anyone out there is doing an ABX testing "objectively"? Meaning set up a system and a mic. Leave the room and let "AI" figure it out if in fact there are any differences when components are swapped in and out.

They measure speakers in chambers. Maybe they could measure entire systems in one as well. I would call it the "Memorex" chamber!
