Login into your NF account and go to the to bottom of the page. There is a heading: Viewing Activity (I recall). Click and all your viewing will be lined up chronologically and you can go out to the right of the offending item and click to make it go away from your Continue Watching. They say "within 24 hours". Long before they gave themselves up to 30 days.
I do that a couple of times a month.
(Thanks to Road Warrior for that tip a few years back.)
Follow Ups:
I just raise objection when my wife spots some soft porn in that category. :)
I use Netflix streaming less and less, as most of their streamable stuff is pure dreck.
But I get "3 DVD at a time" plan... which is a Grand Lie, because no matter how hard you try, you never get more than 2 at a time, and most of the time you just have one.
I could clock them and complain... but life is too short, and we also have Amazon Prime, plus the Criterion Channel, that is quite rich in good movies.
On top of that there are many, many movies on YouTube, we use that a lot. Mostly for Russian films, when we have some recommendation from the friends.
9 times out of 10 it turns to be garbage, so I try to keep my wife from following those recs. But some still get through. Like tonight - a Dostoyevsky based film with some great actors, from 1966, that sat on the shelf until 1987.

that's what I am getting. Two a week with what looked to be an intentional hickup. They reported two "lost" disks even though I never received them. They know things I don't.
