"White Tiger" is also awful, but still, better than the subject.

Think of Moby Dick totally dumbed down for the current dumb Russian audience.

  I have to confess - I watched it again after this discussion, and even though my general impression remained the same, it did receive some softening.
  
  The key is to treat it not as a war film, but as an allegory... it then begins to make some sense. Overloaded with stinking soviet propaganda, but still whole lot better, than that T-34 crap.

They used actual T34 tanks in filming "White Tiger". That alone got my attention. Understandably, the German Tiger tank was a replica. The film definitely had some flaws but overall wasn't completely terrible. But then I like tanks and films about them.
