Has anyone seen this film? Is there any plan to release it on DVD with English subtitle?

I saw this film back in the Sixties and it remains one of my all-time favorites. I know that at one time it was available in VHS format with English subtitles and I saw the dubbed version on TV. However, currently I think it's only available in its native language format. Too bad, it's a really great film.

young Trintignant (blond haired !). What makes the film, however, is Vittorio Gassman spectacular performance. He embodies Italian masculinity. The car (a Lancia) should have gotten fourth billing, after the Lolita-like Spaak.

  Amazon only has one very expensive copy and it's in Region 2 with no English subtitle.

    Patrick, I think, found a copy and I don't believe he understands Italian. Perhaps he found an English, French, or German (he's a polyglot...) subtitled copy?

      This is just one, a particularly amusing scene involving an old hitch-hiker. The Lancia has an innovative sound system with a 33 rpm player in the glove box!
      Notice the clever ending where Gassman's character solves a parking problem.......
