Just feelin' lucky to be alive. Going to the eye doctor tomorrow about the specks and flashes. Hoping the numbness and neck pain is temporary. ER doc gave me pretty good meds.
My typing, never the best in good times, has not improved with the specks and the flashes. But I now have the perect excuse for darn near everything I mess up! At least for awhile.
These things happen so quickly, could've been much, much worse, and luckily the accident wasn't my fault. I drive 35k miles a year. So many people have their lives totally upended by auto accidents. Not many drivers come out the better in a tangle with a semi/trailer. That truck swatted the Dodge into to guardrail and bridge like it was a litle fly.
This gives me the perfect excuse to take tomorrow off and watch the inauguration from the couch.
These forums arfe seldom painful, thank goodness.
In Michigan it has been down to 10 below zero with tons of snow and there is glare ice on the roads. Really bad driving conditions to say the least.
Just curious
thanks
Phil
in Michigan I have seen accidents left and right (literally) everywhere I drive for the last 3 weeks...
thanks
Phil
Pavement was perfectly dry and clear as we've only had flurries, and it was bright and sunny. The driver of the 18 wheeler just didn't look. Didn't signal either. I saw him coming over and honked and braked (couldn't go onto shoulder because there was a guard rail on my left).
Could've been much worse. Coulda been killed or maimed.

..."maimed" was the word that came to mind as I was shaking by the side of the road in my ruined rental car.
The thought "I might have been disabled" was not what popped into my head. ;-)
I love 'maimed' - so much better than 'injured', 'disfigured' or 'disabled'.
Always associate it with being attacked by a wild animal myself, but drivers of 18 wheelers sometimes fall into that category. :0)
Best Regards,
Chris redmond.
"Coulda been likked or maimed. "
And so soon after he "roger" post...
