  if a big studio makes mega profits on a film like that they are very likely to greenlight a less marketable good film with some of those profits.

    If someone is willing to give them his money - what do I care?
    
    There is, of course, that nagging feeling that the society that spends more money on mindless garbage than on education is a sick one, but really - who cares? Do you?
    
    Who cares that our kids suck in science and math when we have best baseball players on planet and we make highest grossing trashy films?
